As part of a series of actions to encourage PhD students at the University of Edinburgh, Moray House School of Education to engage in the FINE events scheduled in April, a most recent drop-in session took place on Friday 26 February. Members of Graduate School of Education and Sport with very diverse research interests got together to share some of the issues they would like to see addressed by their representatives during the next FINE meetings. The informal discussion mainly covered their current realities as emerging researchers and career prospects as well as perspectives regarding personal identity. The representative committee Moray House is sending to WDC will be ‘broadcasting’ the main events of interest by reporting and collecting comments via social media so that everyone can participate in ‘real time’. Once the committee is back, a post-FINE session will take place to share some highlights of this amazing experience and, hopefully, inspire future attendees.
